about

Classic Schlock is defined as:

-Four classic rock* acoustic covers, all just at least a bit introspective, contemplative and sentimental.***
-Songs from the past, yet strangely timeless, and oddly appropriate for a pandemic that requires you to build a wall against the outside, take a walk with a mask, and sit and think.
-Simple, effective songwriting, mixed with one take, barely adequate, almost off tempo performances of interestingly arranged versions.**
-A reason to have a friend draw a few rockin' cartoon country horses.

(Editor footnotes):
*Yes, a 1996 "classic rock" song is included with a three songs from the late 60s / early 70s (depending on how you define the decade of songs written and released between 1967-1971). 1996 was nearly 25 years ago now. Deal with that fact, Gen X. Also, 1970 was 50 years ago. OK, Boomer?

**Apologies, but the tempo timekeeper and slightly more of a perfectionist musical collaborator is in another castle. 2020, am I right?

***The only ironic snark is apparently in the footnotes of these liner notes. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals****

****- movie quote covered famously in Home Alone
